Churro Worsted

Churro Worsted

Breed-Specific (BS) Yarns

Description: Hardy and strong 2-ply worsted-weight yarn. It will feel pokey or scratchy to most folks, so it’s best suited to coats, vests, mittens, and slippers. Navajo Churro is a dual-coated fleece that has coarse, long, hair-like fibers that protect the short, soft wool underneath. Additionally, this lot has same kemp as well – short, thick fibers that resist dye. Hair and kemp fibers provide extra insulation, so this yarn will keep you extra warm! It has only been partially de-haired, and there are large bits of VM throughout.  It has a beautiful sheen with lots of body, but very little bounce. It felts easily and firmly.
