Hoof to Hanger
Visit NowHoof to Hanger is one of the first places we visited when we were trying to decide if our idea to start a mill was crazy or not. Rick welcomed us with open arms and let us tour the facility and told us about all of the inner workings of the mill. He was a wealth of information and shared his insights openly. They also run a shop called The Sandpiper so if you're ever in Bridgman, Michigan, pay them a visit!

Belfast Mini Mills
Visit NowThe folks at Belfast Mini Mills create the milling equipment we use from scratch - everything from the carder cloth to the electronics. They know every bolt in the machines, and you can see the pride of workmanship in each of their products. When we visited, we were completely wowed! They even put us to work in the mill for a day to make sure we knew what we were getting into. They top it off with both a yarn shop and fossil shop on the property!

Sew Happy Jane
Visit NowHeather of Sew Happy Jane has been incredibly helpful as we work to refine our focus as a mill. Her line of SUSTAIN yarns embodies our goals - locally sourced wool, beautifully spun and dyed in the US. Her willingness to share her knowledge and support our process has been invaluable!
-
Mitten State Sheep & Wool
Visit NowWhen we first started our journey purchasing milling equipment, we came across a local ad for a felting table. We drove to meet Sandra and Mike at their farm in southern Michigan. Their kindness and love for wool is contagious! They have beautifully refurbished old carders, spinners, and sock knitting machines. Plus, we got to meet their sheep and the amazing wool they grow to be processed right at the farm!

Mitchell Wool Co.
Visit NowWe met the Mitchells for the first time at the Ann Arbor Fiber Expo and learned about their local-to-us farm. They take pride in producing beautiful, naturally dyed wool from their own sheep, and they have been candid and helpful sharing their experiences and process!
