Description: Dense, soft 2-ply DK-weight yarn. Undyed, natural light gray-brown. This wool comes from fine wool Shetland sheep – VERY different from the crisp, rough wool found in most commercially-available Shetland yarn. It is not sourced from a single sheep, but a small flock. Natural breaks in the wool made it difficult to spin, so we only ran a small batch of it alone (we are blending the rest with other fibers!). There are more slubs and splices than found in most of our yarn. We purchased this beautiful wool from Sherry Mitchell of Mitchell Wool Co, Michigan.
